The Project Technical Manager position is an important and recognised role in Ocean Installer with significant opportunity to influence our business, organisation and work environment.
Duties and responsibilities
- Responsible for the technical execution of projects/ tenders/ studies with focus on reducing cost & maximizing profit without compromise to quality or safety
- Lead high competent, multi discipline project engineering team within following segments of the industry: - Offshore Field Developments,
- Subsea Umbilicals, Risers and Flowlines (SURF)
- Tow and Mooring Operations
- Renewables
- Decommission
- Inspection, Repair and Maintenance (IRM) - In co-operation with the Discipline Leads, define and organize the Project Engineering Team to achieve project success
- Establish and maintain project CTRs and ensure alignment with the agreed deliverables and resources
- Ensure that all project technical documents have accurate planning and forecast input on an ongoing basis
- Define the various job responsibilities and set common expectations at early stage
- Drive efficient and sensible engineering solutions, monitor progress and adjust when/ if required
- Manage onshore and offshore operations schedule development, tracking of changes, and maintenance together with the Project Planner
- Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with Ocean Installer’s Business Management System, with emphasis on engineering quality and safe operations
- Provide technical support and guidance, and encourage personal development of your team members
- Establish and maintain client relationships, building trust and opportunities
- Facilitate good communication and collaboration with clients, subcontractors/ suppliers and colleagues
Qualifications
- Minimum 12 years of relevant experience
- Significant experience within the subsea construction industry, North Sea and International field development projects including EPCI contracts.
- Experience with a wide range of clients in different regions
- Leadership experience
- Engineering degree, Master or Bachelor
