Bergen Guideservice is one of the largest and most established guiding companies in Norway, delivering high-quality tours in Bergen, Hardangerfjord, Sognefjord, and the UNESCO fjord region. For over two decades, we have created memorable, personal experiences for visitors from all over the world, with a strong focus on professionalism, cultural insight, authentic storytelling, and Norwegian hospitality.

For the 2026 season, we have secured several major new contracts with international tour operators, cruise lines, and corporate partners . This brings a significant increase in volume, and we are now expanding our team with new guides and additional resources.

We are therefore recruiting candidates for our Guide Training Program 2026 , leading to full certification as an Authorized Guide (Norges Guideforbund -- NGF).
Experienced guides may be considered directly for guiding assignments during the 2026 season.

Other languages are also welcome and highly valued.

You’ll be a great fit if you:

🎒 What You Will Do

As a guide with Bergen Guideservice, you will:

• Lead private walking tours, cultural tours, and museum visits

• Guide groups on bus tours, fjord excursions and full-day trips (Hardangerfjord, Flåm, UNESCO fjords)

• Lead guided private tours by car together with our trusted partner VIP Bergen, using a new fleet of exclusive vehicles.

• Work with cruise ships, tour operators, corporate groups and VIP guests

• Deliver tailor-made experiences such as food tours, themed tours, hikes and local heritage walks

• Assist with airport transfers and multi-day tours

• Share stories, facts and insights about Bergen’s history, architecture, culture, and nature

• Represent Bergen Guideservice with professionalism, hospitality and integrity

No two days are the same -- this is meaningful, engaging and truly rewarding work.

📚 Guide Training Program (January--April 2026)

Our training program is one of the most comprehensive in Norway and prepares you for certification as an Authorized Guide (NGF).

You will receive:

• Workshops, lectures and guided practice

• Field trips in Bergen, fjord regions and cultural sites

• Training in communication, storytelling, and group management

• Guidance from professional, experienced instructors

After completing the program and passing the exam, you receive official guide authorization.

💼 Working With Us (ENK -- Independent Contractor)

All our guides operate as independent contractors.
This model gives you:

• High earning potential per assignment

• Full freedom to choose the tours that fit your schedule

• Flexibility during and outside the high season

If you are new to ENK, we provide help with setup and practical questions.
