Relevant experiences-
Senior architecture experience in enterprise environments, with strong technical depth.

We are building the architectural spine for scaling agentic AI across the enterprise.
These are senior and principal architecture roles that shape how AI, data, and integration work together -- defining patterns, enforcing governance through design, and ensuring our AI systems are reusable, safe, and aligned with Aker BP’s "AI-native E&P" strategy.
You will define and evolve architectural patterns, partner with delivery pods to land these patterns into real systems, and establish governance-by-design with policy-as-code. A crucial part of your role will be mentoring architects and senior engineers, raising the bar for architectural practice, and designing agent architectures that account for model uncertainty in high-stakes industrial operations.
Why these roles existAker BP is building the foundation for agentic AI at scale. We are doing this as one operating model; strategy, architecture, science, data, safety, and delivery designed to work together, not as separate teams. This role is part of that build.
We are moving AI into the core of industrial operations, work that spans physical assets, regulated environments, and decisions that affect production, safety, and the broader energy system. We work cross-disciplinarily, with a focus on shipping into production rather than running experiments indefinitely.
Agentic and AI architects -- multiple specialisationsApply for different tracks.
We assess candidates against a shared senior-architect profile and match specialisation based on strengths. Candidates are welcome to indicate a preferred track or remain open to placement.
Track 1: Principal AI architectDefine the north-star agentic architecture: the agentic layer, pattern governance, and how agents integrate into the enterprise stack. Own the architectural framework that all agentic systems are built within. This is the most senior architecture role in the AI programme.
Core expertise-
Hands-on experience with agentic patterns, LLM-based systems, or multi-agent architectures.

Deep understanding of how uncertainty in LLM outputs propagates through multi-agent pipelines and shapes architectural constraints on autonomous action scope.
Track 2: Senior/Principal enterprise architect -- Architecture enablement and policy-as-code
Build governed-by-design infrastructure: policy-as-code for agent authorisation, audit trails, pattern catalogues, and automated compliance checking. Turn governance into executable code rather than documents. Knowledge-graph architecture is part of the scope.
Core expertiseShape and govern the Integration Platform architecture, ensuring APIs, events, and data flows are designed as first-class, reusable products aligned with the North Star Architecture. Drive the transition toward an AI-native, event-driven, policy-governed integration layer.
