About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Completion Engineer - MC EIT to join our team! In this position, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful mechanical completion and handover of electrical, instrumentation, automation, and telecommunication systems. The role involves close collaboration across engineering, construction, commissioning, and supplier teams, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in MC walk-downs, record completion work, and clarify technical issues.
• Ensure all documentation related to mechanical completion is accurate and finalized.
• Maintain and update red line mark-up documentation, including P&IDs and SCDs.
• Take responsibility for activities related to electrical, instrumentation, automation, and telecommunication disciplines.
• Issue completion certificates and coordinate timely handover to commissioning.
• Act as the link between the MC team and the engineering organization.
• Build strong relationships with internal team members and suppliers.
• Assess HSE risks related to assigned tasks and implement necessary measures.
• Support engineering, construction, and suppliers in MC-related matters.
• Verify and approve supplier MC documentation and update relevant systems.
• Implement, monitor, and report MC activities according to project plans.
• Contribute to achieving the project’s HSE goals within your area of responsibility.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, standards, and regulations (NORSOK, ATEX, IEC, etc.).
• Identify and follow up deviations between design and installation within your discipline.
• Follow up and close outstanding punch list items.
• Report progress and challenges to the MC Lead.
• Ensure all necessary information is entered into project systems.
• Provide support to commissioning when needed.

Qualifications

• Technical college or engineering degree within mechanical, electrical, automation, or related disciplines.
• At least 5 years of experience from MC activities in oil and gas projects, preferably offshore.
• Solid understanding of MC processes, project coordination, and completion tools such as PIMS.
• Strong multidisciplinary understanding and knowledge of system-oriented completion principles.
• Familiar with relevant industry and regulatory standards (e.g. NORSOK, ATEX, IEC).
• Structured, solution-oriented, and proactive with excellent execution capability.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills across disciplines and organizations.
• Motivating and inspiring, with a focus on building a positive team culture.
• HSE-minded and quality-driven.
• Fluent proficiency in English and Norwegian.
