Operational Buyer - Summer intern

In the role as Operational Buyer for Handling you will plan and execute purchasing activities in the operational purchasing team according to best practice and contribute to optimizing our purchasing activities supporting both aftermarket/spares and new sales activities. Handling has a focus on building a strong supplier portfolio, establishing a profitable business and entering new product- and market areas. To further strengthen the existing team, we are looking for a motivated Summer Intern as Operational Buyer.

• Participate in RFQ (Request for Quotation) processes
• Place orders in our ERP-system and follow up on signals to ensure good flow and delivery within expected time, cost and quality
• Maintain our ERP system with correct data
• Ensure good communication with our suppliers and develop them into being the best they can
• Support Kongsberg Maritime`s tender processes with the right components cost and lead times

• Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or a related field
• Good communication skills in both English and Norwegian. Knowledge in other languages in addition are an advantage
• Good excel understanding
