As Group Financial Controller, you will join a highly competent Group Finance team and report to the Group Head of Accounting. This is a visible and broad role that offers exposure to multiple aspects of finance within an international listed group. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you will contribute to financial reporting, consolidation, analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives, while building a strong understanding of both the business and the Group's finance operations.

As the person currently in this role is moving on to new opportunities, we are looking for a new Group Financial Controller to join the team. The role offers a unique opportunity to go beyond traditional financial reporting and take part in projects, process improvements, and strategic initiatives. You will have the opportunity to work closely with both Group Finance and local finance teams across Europe, gaining valuable international exposure and broad finance experience in a dynamic organization.

Responsibilities
  • contribute to the preparation of consolidated quarterly and annual financial reports
  • prepare parent company financial statements and tax filings
  • perform analytical reviews and quality assurance of financial reporting from subsidiaries
  • provide guidance and support to local finance teams on consolidation and reporting matters
  • support the parent company accounting team on accounting-related topics
  • contribute to the development and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures
  • identify opportunities for process improvements and support implementation of best practices
  • collaborate closely with external auditors
  • monitor developments in accounting standards and reporting requirements
  • participate in ad hoc projects, analyses, and finance-related initiatives
Desired qualifications
  • master's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience from audit, financial reporting, controlling, or similar roles
  • experience with IFRS reporting and financial statements is an advantage
  • experience with financial reporting systems such as Cognos or similar tools is beneficial
  • experience with BI tools and management reporting is an advantage
  • strong Excel skills
  • strong analytical capabilities and business understanding
  • excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
