In these roles, you will be working in the engineering function within Convene Group, contributing to Flytoget, Norway’s leading and most innovative company in the transportation sector. The Flytoget project is a cutting-edge initiative where we are building the next generation of Ticket Vending Machines (TVMs)
-- a truly full-stack product offering room for both technical innovation and radical experimentation.

We are looking to expand our team with two engineers, each bringing different strengths. One role is ideal for someone with deep technical expertise and a passion for building scalable, robust systems. Another role suits a developer with a project-minded approach who can lead development efforts, communicate effectively with the customer, and organize support and deliveries. Experience in consulting is a big plus for this position.

We believe our next new collegaue have:

• Strong experience writing full-stack TypeScript solutions.

• Familiarity with statically typed programming languages or typing tools for JavaScript (we use TypeScript).

• Hands-on experience with modern JS/TS tools (Babel, current ECMAScript standards).

• Experience with MongoDB or other modern databases.

• Experience in building and consuming REST APIs.

• Proven experience with modern frontend frameworks -- we use React.

• Working experience in mobile development, build systems and dependency management, specifically for Android using React Native.

• Backend development experience using Node.js, with frameworks such as Express
and Next.js for server-side rendering.

• Ability to implement designs from spec using reusable and scalable styling systems.

• Experience working in a monorepo is a plus, we use NX.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, and also Scandinavian if possible.
