Senior Piping/Layout Engineer

We are working on multiple prospects for new plastic recycling plants, and we are searching for colleagues who can take responsibility for and contribute to reaching our project goals. The Senior Piping/Layout Engineer will become part of our engineering team which has the privilege to both provide engineering support to our running plants and act as owner`s engineers towards our EPC partners for our new plants. Our engineers get the fantastic opportunity to impact our plants all the way from early design to full production. Duties and responsibilities

• Piping and Layout Discipline Lead on behalf of Quantafuel towards Contractors and EPC partners in both greenfield and brownfield projects
  
• Establish Scope of Work (SoW) for concept, FEED and detail engineering for the piping/layout discipline
  
• Ensure that the activities and deliverables for the contractor’s discipline are in accordance with SoW and the project’s requirements
  
• Ensure that the project’s contract and philosophies are known and implemented by the Contractor’s piping/layout discipline
  
• Mature and optimize new plants by finding good technical solutions to demanding challenges, as Discipline Lead and/or technical support
  
• Own and contribute to the inhouse process for layout / 3D modelling of process plants, driving improvement to systems and work methods
  
• Ownership of knowledge-base and interface management for key Quantafuel Plastic-to-Liquid technology
• Follow up, advice and provide input to other engineering disciplines
• Establish and maintain discipline-specific and multi-disciplinary design principles and specifications for new plants based on experience transfer and lessons learned from other projects
• Participate and prepare meetings and reviews (systems, HAZID/HAZOP, HSE, layout, etc.)
  
• Prepare, review and maintain documentation for project, operation and maintenance with focus on compliance to established internal and external standards, regulations and general quality assurance
  
• Participate in site work, especially to follow up and support projects during installation and commissioning
• Project-related travels to be expected
• Reports to Project Engineering Manager for project related matters

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering
  
• Minimum 8 years of work experience preferred
  
• Piping lead experience, preferably EPC new build and modification on piping design
  
• In-depth knowledge of the established standards and regulations for the piping and layout discipline
  
• Experience from offshore-, fabrication-, commissioning- and/or site support is an advantage.
  
• Fluent in English, both verbally and written
  
• Good level of written and spoken Norwegian/Scandinavian language is advantageous
