Build Insurance Systems Fast – IT Developer

The Role 

As an IT Developer at Protector, you'll be building and maintaining insurance systems in an environment that refuses to move slowly.

You'll work in agile teams of 6-10 people, doing everything from analysis and design to coding and implementation. You'll handle user support and training too—because understanding the humans behind the systems makes you a better developer.

Whether you've just finished your IT education or you're bringing up to 5 years of battle-tested experience, you'll work with Java backends, Postgres/MSSQL databases, and frontends in JSP/Thymeleaf/Htmx, AngularJS, and React. We use Kafka and Python when it makes sense, and we're open to experimenting with new tools and frameworks. Everything runs in Google Cloud, and yes, we're already using the latest AI for developers—currently Claude Code.
