About the role

As Senior Market Adviser, you will:

• Drive high-value foreign direct investment (FDI) projects that support the UK’s economic growth.

• Build and manage strong relationships with senior business leaders, investors, and stakeholders.

• Identify new investment opportunities and maintain an active pipeline across key sectors.

• Provide market insights, maintain up-to-date business intelligence, and advise stakeholders on opportunities and challenges.

• Work closely with Embassy colleagues, UK government partners, and the wider DBT network to deliver impactful promotional activity and support visits, events, and briefings.

Essential qualifications and experience:

• Fluency in English and Norwegian (C1 level).

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in business development, investment or trade promotion, strategy, consultancy, or similar roles.

• Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to build senior-level relationships.

• Solid understanding of the Norwegian business landscape.

• Excellent communication, networking and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable:

• Master’s degree in Business, Economics, International Relations, Political Science or similar.

• Experience analysing market trends and building opportunity pipelines.

• International experience or experience working in complex organisations.
