Location: Stavanger, Norway Duration: ASAP -- 09 October 2027 Position overview

We are seeking an experienced LC‑SAS Engineer to join an EPCI modification project. The role involves responsibility for Safety and Automation System (SAS) design, integration, and follow‑up, with close cooperation across disciplines, vendors, and the client.

Key responsibilities

• Act as SAS Engineer in EPCI modification contracts

• Responsible for SAS system design and system integration

• Participate in Fire & Gas safety reviews

• System design for process, utility, and electrical systems, including:

  • Interfaces

  • Functional Specifications (FS)

  • System Control Diagrams (SCDs)

  • HMI inputs

• Follow up equipment packages and electrical automation systems

• Design technical solutions in accordance with client requirements and project specifications

• Vendor follow‑up, review of technical documentation, and participation in tests and FAT activities

• Ensure that engineering and vendor information is identified, coordinated, and communicated to project interfaces, suppliers, other disciplines, and the client

• Prepare, manage, and complete engineering documents and data registers

• Develop engineering documentation such as:

  • Fire & Gas (F&G)

  • Cause & Effect (C&E)

  • SCDs

  • ESD/PSD block logic

• Establish, maintain, and report progress according to the discipline activity schedule

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including cost‑efficient and effective engineering solutions

• Perform as‑built documentation and handle red‑line mark‑ups received from offshore

• Report matters of importance to the Discipline Lead

• Responsible for quality and HSSE performance within own scope

• Identify engineering changes and contribute to change requests

• Participate in offshore surveys when required

Qualifications

• BSc, MSc, Technical College, or other relevant education combined with experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a SAS Engineer

• Strong knowledge of SAS and subsea systems

• Experience from Norwegian oil & gas projects

• Familiar with NORSOK standards

• Valid offshore certification (including medical certificate) for Norway

• Eligible and available to work in Norway

• Good communication skills in Norwegian and English, written and spoken.
