WELCOMING YOU TO THE NEXANS MARINE INSTALLATION TEAMLocated in Norway , the team consists of highly competent members that are highly experienced and have unique skills in subsea cable installation and Subsea cable protection. Working closely with the engineering teams, we are able to plan and execute marine and land cable installation projects anywhere in the world. We are able to overcome environmental constraints and client requirements with our unique expertise. Nexans is now introducing a new specialized subsea cable installation vessel to the market, the Nexans Electra. We are looking for 6 new colleagues to strengthen the onboard team for the Nexans Installation vessels: Nexans Electra, Nexans Aurora, Nexans Skagerrak and other Nexans chartered installations Vessels. Taking the roles onboard as Operations/Offshore Managers and Operations Supervisors.
HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACTYou play a key role in planning and executing marine operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery across all project phases. Your primary work location will be offshore and onboard our vessels, where you operationally report to the Project Manager and functionally to the Marine Operations Manager.
In this role, you will:

Lead and coordinate offshore operations, teams, vessels, and subcontractors

Contribute to risk assessments, planning, and operational follow-up
-
Ensure compliance with project, contractual, and QHSE requirements
You collaborate closely with engineering, logistics, and project teams to ensure alignment and strong performance. Success is measured by delivering operations according to plan, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

YOUR STARTING POINT WHEN YOU JOINWe know that the best candidates don't always match every requirement listed, but here are some examples of the background and experience that can help you thrive in the role:

More than 5 years of relevant Offshore operations experience in Supervisory positions
-
Experience with complex marine operations with subsea installation work.

Experience with DP (Dynamic Positioning) systems preferably qualified DP 1.

Experience with Office based systems such as Word, Excel, Teams.

Medically fit for offshore operations. Seamans Medical.

Offshore safety qualified (Such as OPITO, BOISET or GWO)

Nexans works in teams based on project execution, so being self-driven and being able to take charge of one's own tasks are of the utmost importance.

Fluent in English - oral and written. Norwegian is a plus.

You may have an additional advantage if you:

Have previous experience with Nexans Cable installations and protection operations.

Local in Norway, Eastern part.

Have work visas to US and/or Australia

Have experience with offshore surveys

Knowledge of the NOV/MAATS cable lays systems
