Senior researcher, "prostate cancer model systems and proteomics"
The Department of Molecular Oncology at the Institute for Cancer Research, OUS, invites applications for a temporary seven months position as senior researcher, with a possibility for extension, in the field of prostate cancer model systems and proteomics. The successful applicant will join the Genome Biology research group, which focuses on employing various omics technologies to enhance prostate cancer diagnostics and treatments. This group is an interdisciplinary research lab, with members from diverse backgrounds in biology, informatics, and medicine. Projects are conducted in close collaboration with clinical scientists and other research groups. The appointed senior researcher will engage in research under the project titled “Systems biomedicine of multifocal prostate cancer”, funded by the Norwegian Cancer Society.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research efforts within the “Systems biomedicine of multifocal prostate cancer” project, concentrating on both prostate cancer model systems and proteomics.
- Actively participate in planning, implementation, discussion, and presentation of research outcomes.
Qualifications:
Formal requirements: A PhD in molecular and cell biology of prostate cancer with at least 10 years of experience.
Candidates are required to possess proven and strong academic experience in cancer research, notably in model systems of prostate cancer. Advanced expertise in high-throughput proteomics analyses is also required. These requirements should be documented through a strong publication record, preferably through senior authorships.

- High motivation and commitment to transdisciplinary projects on systems cancer biomedicine
- Good collaborative skills and contribution to scientific projects and to a dynamic and productive work environment
- Proficient in both written and oral communication
