Hydrogen Mem-Tech is growing, and we are looking for a mechanical engineer to strengthen our team!

Hydrogen Mem-Tech (HMT) is a fast growing Norwegian technology company developing, manufacturing and selling hydrogen separation and purification systems to global industrial markets. From 2011, HMT's exclusive technology rights were transferred from the globally respected Norwegian research institute SINTEF. We have spent the last decade developing the underlying technology, the product and production systems and our understanding of the accessible applications markets.

We work with technology leaders in the processing and emerging fuels sectors for applications supporting decarbonization through low and emission-free production of hydrogen . Our customers are developing blue hydrogen solutions with carbon capture, storage and usage strategies and solutions based on pyrolytic processes utilising waste resources.

Our proprietary technology is integrated with new and existing plant processes to recover hydrogen or to produce more hydrogen at a lower levelized cost. This implementation can enable significant reductions in emissions from amongst others, carbon intensive process industries such as refining and steel, heavy transport, and maritime shipping sectors.

We have invested heavily in development programs and proprietary manufacturing equipment for the high-tech membranes and an assembly line for the separator units. The product is in early commercial release and being validated with customers for full commercial launch.

Together with a strong technical team, investors and management, we are ready to embark on expansion and sales growth into Europe, North America and the Middle East.

Technical experience and abilities that we find useful are:

• Experience in mechanical design
• Inventor 3D
• FEM Analysis
• Tolerance analysis
• Working knowledge of industry codes and standards such as ASME
  VIII Div.2.
• Both written and oral English language
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

We can offer a very exciting role within our our growing technical team, and tasks and responsibilities may vary. Main responsibilities will however include:

• Product development, industrial design
• Mechanical design/engineering
• Standardization of components and solutions
• Mechanical work description and specification of assignments to be
  solved
• Establish equipment design specifications
• Product documentation

Primarily, you will collaborate closely with our talented team of engineers and designers to contribute to the design and development of our cutting-edge membrane technology and hydrogen separators.

Additionally, you will work closely with the operations team, as well as sales, business development and other administrative roles. Situated in Trondheim, we are building a production line ready for take off into the global market.

Your ideas and problem-solving skills will be vital in both developing our technology, as well as developing the company.
