Located in Norway the Standard Engineering & Support department consists of highly competent and diverse members. We are responsible for mechanical standardization and mechanical project support related to all our cable systems.

The workplace is inHalden and you will be reporting to theStandard Engineering & Support department manager Åsa Brinkenberg.

HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

• You will work as a mechanical engineer in the Standard Engineering & Support department with responsibility for the mechanical equipment at all stages from design to purchasing, throughout testing, delivery and installation.
• You will discuss technical challenges and identify possible solutions.
• You will follow the Nexans' Project Execution Modell during the Engineering process.
• You will also participate in developing efficiencies and take part in technical improvements relevant to our department.
• You boost your impact by actively promoting Quality and HSE.

YOUR STARTING POINT

• Bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical engineering.
• 2 - 5 years' experience in mechanical engineering
• Experience with Autodesk Inventor (or similar) is advantageous.
• An innovative and analytical mind
• Like the combination of theoretical and practical work
• In this role the likelihood of succeeding will increase if you are well organized and structured in your work.
• Fluent in English, - oral and written, Norwegian is a plus.
