As a key member of the ASA Accounting team, you will play a pivotal role in our monthly and annual reporting processes. Your deep understanding of accounting principles and financial data will enable you to effectively communicate key insights to colleagues across various functions.

Key Responsibilities:-
Monthly Closing & Reporting: Lead the monthly closing process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting. Conduct financial analysis and controlling, and respond to ad-hoc requests from Controllers and stakeholders.

Audit Coordination: Manage the external audit process (interim & year-end) and ensure compliance with internal and statutory requirements.

Internal Controls: Follow-up and enhance internal control activities. Develop projects to increase the use of technology and digitalization within the ASA Accounting team.

System Upgrades: Participate in system testing during upgrades and provide guidance and support to the team.

Norwegian Entities Coordination: Co-ordinate a unified approach for tax and audit processes across Norwegian entities.

Reporting: Plan and communicate the close process with deadlines. Review accounts in IFS/Tagetik, manage balance sheet reconciliations, and oversee Tagetik reporting, including IC reconciliation follow-up.

Ensure a correct and timely close for periods 12 and 13

Prepare tax calculations for ASA and gather necessary inputs from other entities

Meet auditor requests by deadlines

Develop a regular internal control process for incoming invoices

Lead a unified approach to tax reporting for Norwegian entities

Handle ad-hoc projects as needed
You are a highly skilled professional with a strong foundation in accounting, particularly in NGAAP and IFRS. Your excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities set you apart, and you are proficient in using the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, SharePoint, and Teams. You have a solid understanding of systems like IFS, Tagetik, or similar platforms.
Your communication skills, both verbal and written in English, are exceptional. You are organized, ensuring on-time deliveries, and you thrive in both leadership and collaborative roles across various teams.
Education & Experience:-
You hold a higher education degree at the master's level or possess other relevant and qualifying backgrounds

You bring at least 5 years of experience in audit or financial controlling

Experience with international companies is a significant advantage

5 extra days holiday at Easter or Christmas time or "inneklemt dager" in Norway, or other culturally significant days
