Telenor Norway is on a journey of digitization, where IT is becoming an ever more critical part of the offering to our customers. We are now looking for a Software Engineer to join the Mitt Telenor team -- the team behind one of Telenor’s most important digital products.
Mitt Telenor is a React-Native app primarily developed in TypeScript, with native components written in Java/Kotlin (Android) and Objective-C/Swift (iOS). The app serves as the main portal to Telenor Norway’s services and is a daily tool for hundreds of thousands of Norwegians.
As a Software Engineer, you will play a key role in the development and improvement of the app. You’ll be involved in everything from requirement gathering and implementation to testing, integration, and maintenance. You will collaborate closely with product owners, designers, and developers -- both within the team and across the organization.
What will your role focus on:• Develop Features: Translate requirements into usable and scalable features across our technology stack.
• Contribute to Team Decisions: Be part of prioritization discussions, providing input on the right balance between new development and technical debt.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work in an autonomous, cross-functional team alongside designers, system architects, and other developers.
• Promote Best Practices: Share knowledge through code reviews, pair programming, and active collaboration.
• Influence Your Workday: Choose your tools and structure your day in a flexible hybrid work environment.
• 3--7 years of relevant development experience
• Relevant education (3--5 years) -- or equivalent hands-on experience
• Experience with React or React-Native and mobile app development
• Strong interest in programming, with a focus on building robust and testable software
• Familiarity with agile development practices and DevOps
• A team-oriented mindset with a drive to share and grow knowledge
• Norwegian language skills are a plus, but not required
• We’re also interested in hearing about any private or open-source projects you've contributed to!
• A working environment where trust and culture are central -- where your voice matters and your ideas are supported
• Flexible hybrid workdays -- work from home, the office, or the cabin
• A strong focus on learning and personal development , with dedicated time set aside for upskilling
• Competitive compensation and excellent benefits , including pension schemes, insurance, generous parental leave, and extended holidays (Christmas, Easter, etc.)
• Access to company cabins across Norway, sports teams, an in-house fitness center, and modern offices with inviting social zones
• A meaningful opportunity to work on an app that impacts hundreds of thousands of users every day
• Application deadline: 01.05.2025
• Location: Trondheim (Telenor Tyholt)
• Contact: Sigurd Thunem -- sigurd.thunem@telenor.no / +47 91783636
• We conduct background check on relevant candidates through Semac AS.
