Aker BP aims to be the exploration and production company of the future by transforming the way we work and operate. We are setting new standards by focusing on safe production and low emissions in the oil and gas industry.
Aker BP wants to strengthen the focus on process control, as Improved control provides benefits as increased production, reduced energy requirements, reduced emissions, and generally improved utilization of the plant's constraints. Higher degree of automation also contributes to making our installations more autonomous. "Advanced Process Control" (APC) may be required if the control challenges have a multivariable nature, and when there is a need for models and predictions to decouple interactions in the process. APC is strongly founded in Aker BP's operations strategy, and Yggdrasil has a particular interest in this type of technology, as the plant will be operated with minimal manning in the CCR. As an automation engineer addressing process control, the daily work will be strongly linked to related disciplines in the company, like process, production, flow assurance metering, etc.
