Stakeriet Mat og Vinhus opened in 2018 and was the first restaurant that Æventyr opened. The restaurant has capacity for 150 people and is located in the center of Alta. The atmosphere at Stakeriet itself is warm and cosy, and have over the years become a very popular place to eat for social occasions where you want to dress up a bit.
At Stakeriet, we are fully focused on highlighting all the wonderful raw materials we have in Northern Norway, but with an international twist. We do this by offering Nordic Gourmet Tapas. In this way, our our guests get the opportunity to taste whatever they like, be it reindeer fillet, classic and traditional fish dishes, king crab and much more, but in smaller portions. For guests who want larger portions, we also offer a small selection of our best sellers as main course.
A couple of times a year we also run different concept evenings such as winemakers dinner, as well as themed evenings with classic dishes from Spain, France and Italy.
As a chef you will have the following responsibilities and tasks:
- Responsible for food production, presentation and serving of hot and cold dishes in the restaurant on your shift. Your focus will always be to ensure that our guests have the best dining experience every time they visit us.
- You will have an active role in all areas of the kitchen and be helpful with menu planning and product ordering.
- Ensure that quality systems and routines within IC - food and HSE are carried out in accordance with the restaurant's guidelines.
- Actively contribute to ensuring that the kitchen area is in accordance with hygiene regulations.
- Supporting and assist in the training of our chef aprrentices.
- Actively contribute to a safe and inclusive working environment.
- You are passionate about cooking and love to deliver good food experiences. Experience from working in a tapas kitchen is a plus, but not an requirement.
- You are a educated chef or have a minimum of two years work experience.
- You are proactive and want to develop yourself within the culinary profession.
- You are structured and quality conscious.
- You thrive on hectic working days and can handle stressful situations in a way that does not affect yourself, your colleagues and our guest in a negative way.
- You are a reliable team player who contributes to a good work environment in the restaurant.
- You dont mind working in evenings and weekends (Stakeriet is closed during the day).
- You have good English language skills. A Scandinavian language is an advantage, but not a requirement.
