Are you a highly skilled Senior Accountant looking to join our Accounting and Controlling team in Oslo?

Fred. Olsen & Co. AS has origins back to 1848. The company has for decades been entrusted with the management of what today is Bonheur ASA, listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange. In addition, Fred. Olsen & Co. provides a variety of professional consultancy services within administration-, finance-, legal-, IT-, property management and HR to predominantly subsidiaries of Bonheur operating within the various business segments in which Bonheur is invested but also other Fred. Olsen-related companies.

The company has ambitious goals for automizing and improving the accounting processes, and we are now looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to join our Accounting and Controlling team in Oslo.

As a Senior Accountant, you will work with both the Norwegian and Danish entities, and you will collaborate closely with your colleagues in the accounting team. The position reports to the Accounting Manager and is part of the company's shared accounting and controlling function, consisting of 10 employees. You will collaborate closely with accounting Manager and contribute to budgeting processes and financial planning, providing valuable support in preparing and/ or following up budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accounting responsibility for multiple companies in multiple currencies
• Contribute to digitalization and automation of processes/routines
• Verify incoming invoices including payments/remittances
• Follow-up of accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Import of salary files for Norway & Denmark, and reconcile salary transactions
• Review and approval of travel expense claims
• VAT reporting
• Ongoing monthly and quarterly reconciliations
• Assist with ad-hoc analyses, reports, and projects

Desired Qualifications:

• Higher degree in accounting, minimum of a bachelor’s degree
• 5 years of relevant work experience. Extensive accounting experience can compensate for the lack of formal education
• Experience from accounting in group companies
• Strong IT skills. Preferably with experience in Dynamics 365 F&O and Maestro
• Proficiency in both written and spoken Norwegian and English
