Are you an experienced Instrument Engineer?

We are looking for experienced instrumentation engineers available for long-term assignments in Norway.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare work orders with a clear scope of work, safe work methods, risk assessments, and the necessary resources for field execution.
• Conduct site surveys to verify work scope, identify hazards, and ensure that methods and work orders are realistic and feasible.
• Evaluate suppliers and equipment , as well as quality-assure documentation and compliance with ATEX, IEC, and other relevant standards.
• Develop design basis and technical descriptions for instrumentation, including selection of instrument types, installation methods, and technical requirements.
• Hold independent responsibility for all instrumentation deliveries within a project.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's degree or higher.
• Technical vocational college (Teknisk fagskole ) with 9 years of relevant experience in engineering tasks.
• Minimum 5 years of experience from multi-discipline oil and gas projects with responsibility for instrumentation, preferably modification projects.
• Strong collaboration skills and a good understanding of the interaction and complexity within a modification project.
• Field instrumentation experience: from defining equipment requirements and creating technical documentation to acting as the technical lead for procurement and quality-checking documentation and equipment.
• Experience in preparing work orders and practical work methods for field execution, including clear scope descriptions, safe working practices, risk assessments, and resource planning.
• Experience with design basis, site surveys, selection of instrument types/suppliers, evaluation of installation methods, and preparation of installation documentation.
• Good knowledge of ATEX, IEC , and relevant standards; experience with NORSOK is an advantage.
• FSE (Electrical Safety) including first aid and practical CPR.
• English is the project's working language; proficiency in written and spoken English is required.
• Knowledge of French is an advantage, but not a requirement.

Location: Sandefjord/Bergen/Oslo/Stavanger/Herøya Full time assignment. Two years duration with possible extension.
