We’re looking for a Solution Architect to help evaluate business needs and identify how technology --- software, hardware, processes, or infrastructure --- can support them. You’ll collaborate across the organisation to spot improvement areas, stay current with emerging technologies, and assess their relevance to our market.
As a Solution Architect, you’ll contribute to our Design Board, ensuring new systems align with our enterprise architecture and guardrails. You’ll also coordinate with Compliance and Legal, and work closely with vendors, Product Owners, and Change Managers to advise, plan, and execute releases.
Integration planning with developers is key, and we value collaboration and fresh ideas to improve or automate processes.
Finding the right person is more important than ticking all the right boxes, however, here are some of the important things we think a strong candidate will have:- Proven experience in designing and maintaining the overall architecture of complex software systems, including decisions on structure, components, modules, interfaces, and technologies.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing software architecture throughout its lifecycle.
- Commitment to software quality through the application of best practices, design patterns, and coding standards to ensure system reliability and maintainability.
- Strong ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements, explain design decisions, and align technical solutions with business goals.
- Familiarity with evaluating and integrating new and emerging software technologies.
- Solid understanding of AI and machine learning concepts, including their architectural implications and integration into enterprise systems.
- High capacity for problem-solving and actively promotes a culture of ongoing improvement.
- Ability to understand, document, visualize, and effectively communicate complex business processes.
- Solid English skills
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
- A developer background is preferred as an ideal progression path.
You’ll join a cross-functional team in an international environment, with friendly colleagues and a strong company culture that values competence development and work-life balance.
If you're relocating from abroad, we collaborate with Relocation Agder to support your move to Arendal.
We perform background checks on all relevant candidates through our partner EY
