At Vipps MobilePay, we’re simplifying life for millions of people across the Nordics, and data is at the heart of making that happen. As part of our friendly and ambitious Data Product Hub, you’ll bridge analytics and engineering to turn data into insights, shape how we build data products, and inspire product teams to see what’s possible with data.
You’ll learn, collaborate, and contribute to building great data products but also help colleagues across the company get started on their own data journey, helping to make self-service possible, and empowering everyone to work with data.
Our Data Product Hub is located across Aarhus, Oslo and Copenhagen, with core teams in Aarhus and Oslo. You’ll work from Oslo and collaborate closely with data engineers and analysts across Denmark and Norway as part of one cross-Nordic team and an established data community. You’ll also work hand in hand with product teams and business users to make data a driving force in product development and customer experience.
💡 What you’ll be doing
You’ll help ensure that Vipps MobilePay creates value from our data and make sure it is trusted, accessible, and actively used, enabling smarter product decisions and better experiences for millions of users.
Some of the things you’ll get to do:
- Work with product teams to explore data creatively, uncovering insights that shape product direction and uncover opportunities we didn’t know existed.
- Support colleagues with analysis, advice, and hands-on enablement that builds confidence in using data and AI.
- Collaborate closely with data engineers and platform specialists to ensure smooth data pipelines, clear data models, and reliable foundations for analysis.
- Support colleagues across the company get started working with data and make self-service possible.
- Embrace an end-to-end Data Analyst role. We don’t draw hard lines around responsibilities. You’ll work across the entire data journey, from raw data to actionable insights and dashboards in close cooperation with engineers and product teams.
- Share knowledge and help build a culture where experimentation and learning are part of everyday work.
🧠 Who we’re looking for
We believe great analysts are made through curiosity, initiative, and technical depth. We value impact, curiosity, and grit, what matters most is your ability to deliver, raise the bar, and inspire others. We care as much about how you think as what you know, we value analysts who can combine technical rigor with business understanding to drive real-world impact.
You might be a great fit if you:
- Have strong analytical skills and a proactive mindset. You don’t just report the numbers, you are curious and creative in exploring data to uncover meaningful and actionable insights.
- Are excited about using AI to improve workflows, enable smarter ways of working, and open new opportunities for both yourself and others.
- Are comfortable moving between analytics and engineering in a shared repo to building visualizations and communicating insights that drive product decisions.
- Experience with SQL and Python and modern analytics tools (e.g., dbt, Databricks or similar).
- 1-5 years’ experience in an analytical, data product role or similar, ideally in a tech or product-led company.
- Love collaborating, experimenting, and sharing ideas in a team that learns together.
- Care about building reliable, scalable data products that make insights easy to use.
- Communicate clearly and turn complex data into stories that drive better decisions.
- Are fluent in English, our everyday working language.
On the technical side, we believe great analysts combine curiosity with solid craftsmanship, knowing when to explore and when to engineer. We don’t expect you to master everything on day one, but experience or curiosity in some of the following areas will help you thrive:
- Data modelling and transformation: SQL, dbt, or similar frameworks for building reliable data models.
- Business intelligence and visualization: Power BI, Looker, or equivalent tools for building clear and actionable dashboards.
- Programming and automation: Python, R, or similar languages for analysis, scripting, and automation.
- AI & advanced analytics: experience using AI tools (e.g. Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor) to accelerate insight and improve decisions.
- Version control and collaboration: Experience with GitHub or similar tools is a nice-to-have, but not a requirement.
- Data science and statistics: Basic experience or interest in data science or statistical modelling will be an advantage.
- Real responsibility from day one, plus support and trust to grow with it.
- A chance to contribute to how we build and use data across Vipps MobilePay.
- Being a part of a close-knit, cross-Nordic data community where analysts and engineers work side by side, share knowledge and grow together.
- The opportunity to help build one of the most loved digital products in the Nordics.
- A social, down-to-earth team that cares about the work and each other.
- Hybrid setup: Work from our beautiful offices in Oslo, with the flexibility to work up to 2 days from home.
- Friday bars, hikes, ping pong, padel tennis, and more.
- Work-life balance: We work smart and keep wellbeing in focus.
- Opportunities to take responsibility for your work and grow your impact over time.
In sum: We believe great data products come from great people, that’s why we invest in both!
