As a System Programmer at DeepOcean, you will be responsible for keeping our internal survey software updated and aligned with evolving project and client requirements. You’ll play a central role in improving our software tools and automation processes that directly support our projects and day-to-day operations.
This is a full-time, onshore-based position with flexibility to work from any of our offices in Haugesund, Stavanger, Bergen, Oslo, or Aberdeen – or in a hybrid/remote setup. You will report to the Survey Technical Manager.
Some of the exciting tasks you will have include:- Develop and maintain interfaces between in-house software and external equipment/systems
- Build and improve automation tools to streamline survey operations and reduce manual tasks
- Contribute to development of custom software solutions for projects and client needs
- Ensure compatibility and integration with third-party survey software through testing and specification
- Document and support internal software packages and workflows for data processing and presentation
- Supervise and assist in survey data processing and reporting as required
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering) or equivalent experience
- Strong knowledge of software development practices and technologies
