NORBIT Subsea develops world-leading sonar technology for demanding underwater operations worldwide. We are now looking for a skilled and motivated Service Engineer to join our team in Trondheim. This is a hands-on technical role with real impact. For the right candidate, the position may develop into a Team Lead opportunity over time.

The Role
You will be responsible for inspection, diagnostics, repair and lifecycle support of advanced sonar systems, ensuring high performance and reliability across our global installed base.Your main responsibilities include:

• Performing technical diagnostics and troubleshooting of hardware and software

• Conducting acoustic analysis and system evaluation

• Providing remote technical support to customers and internal teams

• Handling service cases, RMAs, reporting and quotations

• Maintaining accurate documentation and updates in ERP (Monitor) and Jira

• Coordinating spare parts service and tool maintenance

• Handling non-conformance cases, contributing to corrective actions, and supporting internal builds and testing when required

• Collaborating closely with R&D, Production and Support to drive continuous improvement

Who You Are
You have an engineering background (BSc/MSc or equivalent experience) and solid technical experience, ideally from subsea, marine or other high-technology environments. You are comfortable working with electronics, sensors and software-driven systems, and experience with Linux is an advantage. You are analytical, practical and solution-oriented. You take ownership of your work, communicate clearly in English, and thrive in an environment where quality, precision and collaboration matter.
