Jotun's Group IT department is responsible for all of Jotun’s business-related IT projects and global IT Solutions, and currently we are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager with a global mindset to join our team.
As our new Group IT Project Manager, you will be a part of our project leader team with 6 other engaged project managers. You will work within an organization with clearly defined decision lines with a focus on structure and good project methodology. In this position you will be given responsibility for your own set of global business-related IT projects and have a high degree of independence.
A key part of your workday will be to manage and drive your own projects forward, motivate project groups and manage plans and documentation related to your projects, as well as regular reporting to the company steering committee and IT Board.
The position will be located at our brand-new headquarters in Sandefjord. Some travelling must be expected in the position.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage assigned Global IT related projects by planning, coordinating, reporting and monitoring activities to ensure that projects achieve agreed progress, quality, results, and goals and that they are successfully implemented and rolled out
- Keep regular contact with the project owner and be active in motivating the project group for the implementation of the new solution.
- Define and manage project plans and specific project documentation and methodology to ensure that the implementation of the project is within time and budget and according to Global project standards.
- Create engagement and enthusiasm in the Project team and ensure that sufficient resources are available from the participating segments, business organizations and relevant departments.
- Contribute to establishing a Global Project Management Methodology (toolbox), project policies and project guidelines.
- Report status in specific project (as Project Manager) to Project Steering Committees and IT Board on a regular basis as requested
Formal requirements
We believe that the right candidate is a self-driven team player with good logical reasoning skills and good understanding of IT in general. In addition, we find the following formal requirements important:
- BSc degree or higher within IT related subjects
- Min. 5 years of experience from a similar position as project manager, preferably some experience from working in global companies
- Preferably with project management institute (PMI) certification or similar
- Knowledge and experience with AGIL project methodology, preferably SCRUM certified
- Familiar with Microsoft DevOps
- Great English skills both written and spoken
- Project experience, knowledge or competence within defined subject matter areas s.a. Finance, Logistic, IT etc. should be highlighted
