The VP Operations is part of Metronor Industrial's management team.
As VP Operations, you will have a critical role in bringing our unique solutions to leading industrial players globally, to the agreed cost, time, and quality.
The VP Operations is responsible for leading and optimizing the company's operational performance across manufacturing, supply chain, service delivery, quality, and continuous improvement. The role ensures that operational execution supports the company's strategic goals, customer commitments, and financial targets.
Key responsibilities include:- **Operational Leadership & Strategy:**Lead the company's end?to?end operational functions, including production, logistics, supply chain, and operational planning. Translate company strategy into actionable operational plans with clear KPIs. Drive scalability and efficiency to support growth, margin improvement, and on?time delivery.
- **ERP and systems:**implement new ERP system (MS Dynamics) and maintain and optimise internal IT systems supporting the Operations function.
- **Manufacturing & Production:**Ensure stable, safe, and efficient production operations. Implement best practices in lean manufacturing, automation, workflow optimization, and capacity planning. Oversee equipment, facilities, and resource planning.
- **Quality and Compliance:**Ensure compliance with internal procedures and QMS, industry regulations, and customer requirements. Lead continuous improvement initiatives and corrective actions.
- **Supply Chain & Procurement:**Manage supplier performance, contracts, and strategic sourcing. Ensure reliable, cost?effective supply of components and services. Improve supply chain resilience, forecasting, and inventory control.
- **People Leadership & Organizational Development:**Lead, coach, and develop operational teams and managers. Build a high?performance culture with clear communication, accountability, and collaboration. Support workforce planning, recruitment, and skills development.
- **Cross?Functional Collaboration:**Work closely with Technology, Quality, Sales, and Finance to align operational activities with business priorities. Ensure strong coordination with customer?facing teams (globally) to support installations, service, and technical delivery.
- **Financial & Performance Management:**Own operational budgets, cost control, and CapEx planning. Track KPIs such as delivery precision, cost, and customer satisfaction and report performance.
- Leadership Experience: A hands?on leader with a strong passion for developing a collaborative, high?performing team culture.
- Industry Experience: More than five years of leadership experience in operations, supply chain, or manufacturing-ideally within high?tech, industrial, or hardware?driven companies. Demonstrated success in scaling operations and driving continuous improvement.
- Systems & Methodology Proficiency: Solid expertise in ERP, QMS, project management, and lean methodologies. Experience implementing ERP systems-particularly MS Dynamics-is a strong advantage.
- Technical Competence: Preferably brings a solid understanding of industrial measurement systems, automation, and advanced manufacturing processes.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related field.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English, both written and spoken; Norwegian and German are considered an advantage.
- Personal Attributes: Results?driven, structured, and an excellent communicator with strong relationship?building skills. Known for fostering trust, clarity, and alignment across teams.
