Work Preparation/Method Engineer – Electrical

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Work Preparation/Method Engineer – Electrical to join our team in Haugesund. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and developing safe and efficient electrical installation methods for offshore activities. The position involves close collaboration with construction, engineering, and planning teams to ensure high-quality execution and adherence to project standards and HSE requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review and verify drawings and material orders prior to installation.
• Ensure strong focus on HSE throughout all planning and execution phases.
• Develop and document installation methods and work procedures.
• Provide input to the planning team on installation sequences and scheduling.
• Prepare work packages for offshore installation activities.
• Provide input and support to man-hour estimates for installation work.
• Conduct sporadic offshore visits to support work preparation and follow-up.

Qualifications and experience

• Trade Certificate (Fagbrev) in electrical or instrumentation disciplines. Other relevant education, courses, or experience may compensate.
• Extensive experience from onshore and/or offshore projects.
• Familiar with procedures for offshore platform and site work.
• Experience in job setting and construction methodology is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of technical drawings and work descriptions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Good computer literacy.
• Valid Offshore Certificate and Health Certificate.
• Basic EX Course.
• FSE High and Low Voltage with First Aid.
• Full professional proficiency (spoken and written) in English and Norwegian.
