As HSEQ Manager, you will lead and develop the HSEQ department and support all functions in Norway, from our Binder Factory, Head Office and R&D Center, to our Vindal factory and all employees in Norway.
You will hold professional responsibility for HSEQ activities, policies, reporting, and training---securing compliance with Jotun HSEQ element requirements and Norwegian regulations in a complex, multi stakeholder environment.
Key responsibilities-
Lead and develop our HSEQ team---build competence, engagement, and consistent ways of working.

Implement, maintain, and improve HSEQ policies/procedures and certification systems (ISO 9001/14001/45001); oversee internal/external audits.
-
Set HSEQ and quality objectives/KPIs; analyze and report performance; follow up actions with stakeholders.

Initiate and drive improvement projects (e.g., environmental clean‑up, waste reduction, fire risk reduction, energy management, and quality).
-
Ensure robust emergency response and crisis management; act as key contact for authorities, fire brigade, and safety representatives.
-
Methodical, proactive, accountable---plans ahead, prioritises, and delivers high‑quality results.
-
Education in chemistry, process, or HSEQ; experience from a production environment.

Strong knowledge of ISO certification systems; familiarity with Norwegian law/regulations (auditing is a plus).
-
Proven people leadership---able to coach, influence, and align managers across levels.
-
Stakeholder‑savvy; collaborates effectively with authorities and emergency services; clear communicator in English (Norwegian is a bonus, but not a strong requirement).
-
Competitive compensation and benefits
-
Continuous learning opportunities and training activities through on-the-job training and our in-house learning Jotun Academy.
-
Career development opportunities across multiple disciplines and geographies
-
Leaders who focus on engaging and enabling their team, proven by consistently high employee feedback scores
-
A supportive and inclusive company culture where you can be your authentic self
-
A focus on having fun together through team buildings and social activities
