Telecom - Senior/Principal engineer Bergen Job Responsibilities:

• Detailed design of telecom tasks.

• Participate in studies.

• Estimate telecom tasks.

• Prepare job packages and follow up on deliveries.

• Discipline check of design basis (studies, drawings, and job packages).

• Follow up with suppliers, package responsibility.

• Participate in pre-test/FAT at the supplier.

• Participate in inspections onshore/offshore.

• Able to take on training responsibilities for new engineers.

• Perform as-built.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecom/Instrumentation/Automation Hardware.

• Alternatively , a Technical College degree with extensive experience (10-12+ years) in Engineering projects on the Norwegian Oil and Gas industry.

Experience:

• As senior engineer it’s required a minimum of 5 years to 10 years of experience from offshore projects in Norway

• Strong experience in engineering design.

• Good knowledge of standards such as ATEX, Norsok, Equinor TR (Technical Requirements), STID, ProCoSys, ARIS.

• Extensive knowledge of modifications on operational offshore installations (VEM/M&M).

• Strong knowledge of instrumentation used in the oil industry.

• Good knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical control systems.

Language

• Proficiency in Norwegian, both spoken and written.

• Strong English skills, both spoken and written.

Certificates and Courses

• Valid Offshore Certificate

• Health Certificate

• Basic EX kurs

• FSE high and low volt with practical first aid course

Duration

• Planned start: 31.03.2026 to planned end date: 31.12.2027

Work location

•Bergen, local candidates are preferred due to physical presence
