Waiter with barista skills for a Cafe in Senja

Senja Roasters Cafe is a young business in Stonglandseidet, Senja. We are looking for two waiters to join our team.

The job requires positive attitude, entrepreneurial mindset and commitment. Waiter's responsibilities include taking orders, serving, preparing beverages and easy food and keeping the cafe tidy. In addition, the waiter will sometimes do sales and customer service related to our partners' services. The partners Destination Senja and Wandering Owl provide accommodation, activities and equipment rental. Both partners have the café as a booking/information and meeting point. The waiter will take bookings and give advice to visitors who are lost in their adventure and looking for things to do.

For us it is important to find people who fit to our energetic team; who are there to give a hand when a teammate needs help and serve customers always with a smile.

Tasks and work responsibilities:

• Daily opening and closing routines of the café
• Working in the bar and dining area
• Preparation of order lists for food and beverages (incl. alcohol)
• Follow up IK-mat routines
• Sales and advertising of Senja Roasters' products in the café
• Sales and advertising of partners' products

Qualifications and characteristics:

• Barista experience
• Experience in waitering and customer service
• Ablility to stay calm under pressure and flexibility to change between tasks
• Team player skills
• An inititative taker
• Solution oriented thinking
• Culinary school diploma is considered as a plus.
• Fluent in English and Norwegian. Other languages are considered and a plus.

Stonglandseidet is located in South of Senja Island, where the public bus arrives and departs twice a day. It is very convenient to have a car when working here. :)

We can offer you a room in shared housing for NOK 3 950 / month.
