Duties and responsibilities
- Responsible for the contract as well as point of contact towards the main project, yard and owner, and thus manage the relationship with client and other stakeholders
- Develop a robust and realistic financial prognosis based on the budget delivered from Sales
- Identify risks and opportunities to project delivery and develop and keep updated risk and opportunity
- Adjust contingency in budget according to risk analysis
- Establish and communicate project goals and objectives based on revised budget and risk/opportunity analysis
- Communicate/hand-over available budget, schedule and targets to internal stakeholders (procurement, production and commissioning - PPC) through hand-over meetings and service agreements
- Balance, coordinate and establish common ground in the PPC to secure a successful project, supervising the interactions between PPC departments
- Establish and execute project control measures
- Take action if targets (financial, milestones/due dates, quality etc) are in danger or not being met by PPC
- Take ownership of the material management process
- Responsible for communicating, negotiating and securing Variation Orders with main project
- Follow the project to the end of warranty period in coordination with the Warranty Department
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in project management, logistics or supply chain management
- Previous experience from project management in shipbuilding related industries
- Knowledge of shipbuilding processes
- HVAC or interior knowledge
- Good computer skills (excel, word, PowerPoint)
