About the job
BISS Gausel has a vacancy for a part-time (86% term-time only) temporary position to deliver planned lessons to cover staff absences.
The position is available from 10 February until 19 June, with the possibility of extension.
The position is in the secondary department (ungdomstrinnet). The teacher will work as a part of a motivated teaching team and is expected to be flexible and support other teachers and students with learning or other activities as needed.
Qualifications and experience
Minimum education and experience:
- HKDir/NOKUT approved teaching qualifications for primary and/or secondary school/grunnskole
- Good English language skills, both written and oral (minimum B2)
- Some knowledge of the Norwegian language would be an advantage
- The ability to use ICT to support and enhance learning within the classroom
- The ability to differentiate learning in the classroom
- Experience working with students aged 11-16, either as a teacher or as a teaching assistant
- Experience or knowledge of the IB programmes would be an advantage
