The Hybrid Technology Hub Centre of Excellence at Oslo University Hospital and University of Oslo, Norway (https://www.med.uio.no/hth/english/) is currently accepting applications for a 1 year position as a special engineer (100 % position).

The special engineer will join the Hybrid Technology Hub (Centre of Excellence) at Oslo University Hospital/University of Oslo and take part in a research project funded by the Norwegian Cancer Society (www.kreftforeningen.no). In the tumor microenvironment, the interactions between tumor/vascular/immune cells affect the integrity of the system and promote metastasis and resistance to therapy. The project aims to develop a microfluidic Tumor‑on‑Chip (ToC) platform for drug testing. The work will be developed within an interdisciplinary research environment combining cancer biology, immunology, vascularization and advanced organ-on- chip technology.

The work will include culture of endothelial cells and 3D organoids in microfluidic platforms that have been developed at the Centre. The laboratory engineer will also assist with RNA/DNA isolation, qPCR, ELISA and flow cytometry.

Oslo University Hospital is a workplace with great diversity. We believe this is crucial for solving our tasks in the best possible way. We want this diversity to be reflected among the applicants for our positions, and we encourage all qualified candidates, regardless of background, to apply!
