NAVTOR is a Norwegian company that specializes in providing e-navigation and maritime digital services to the shipping industry. Their primary focus is on creating digital solutions that help optimize navigation, improve efficiency, and enhance safety for vessels at sea.
We are now recruiting for a developer position within our distributed development team.
As a software developer in NAVTOR, you will be joining an international team of highly talented and motivated people with passionate interest in software design.
Location: Gdansk (Poland), Egersund or Bergen (Norway)
What will your new workday look like?
- Working as a Python and full-stack developer within our Performance product portfolio covering Back-End, Reporting and Edge solutions using different technologies
- Research into new technologies that might benefit NAVTORs customers
- Participation on technical conferences, seminars and training sessions
- Participate in continuous process redesign to build a high performing culture
Qualifications
- Minimum 4-5 years of current experience with Python, Javascript and Typescript
- Experience with AngularJS
- Experience with MongoDB and PostgresDB
- Some experience with C# is preferrable
- Knowledge of Python Flask and Angular is a plus
- Knowledge/experience with Cloud providers (Azure/AWS/GCP), direct Azure experience is a plus
- Well traversed in SCRUM workflows and knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
- Speak and write English fluently
- Relevant education at university level or equivalent

- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work with team members in different time zones across USA and Europe
