Available for a temporary assignment?

On behalf of one of our clients in the Oil and gas industry, we are looking for an Accountant to further support the finance team in the next coming months. The role involves a combination of operational accounting tasks, joint venture support, reporting, and period close activities. We are looking for a candidate who is available within short notice for a temporary assignment until 31/12/26.

The operational accountant will be part of an experienced team which will provide good learning and development opportunities to the right candidate.

Main responsibilities

• Manage G&A accounting tasks including, among others, invoice coding, accruals, intercompany costs and reconciliations
• Support JV accounting processes
• Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and continuous process improvements
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and reporting requirements

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or similar
• 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience from companies within the oil and gas industry
• Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP systems
• Fluent in both Norwegian and English, written and spoken
