Who we are looking for

We are seeking a flexible and service-minded team member with strong language and cultural skills. You must have Arabic as your mother tongue and be confident in English. Knowledge of Turkish and Kurdish is a strong advantage.

You should enjoy working with people from different cultures, be comfortable with PC/booking systems, and be willing to work evenings and nights during the Northern Lights season. Previous experience in tourism, hospitality, or customer service is a plus.

We Offer

Main Tasks

• Assist in daily tour operations and guest handling

• Provide translation and cultural mediation (Arabic mother tongue, knowledge of Turkish and Arabic culture is highly valued)

• Support with online bookings, reservations, and modifications

• Join tours as operations assistant, including evening and night shifts for Northern Lights chases

• Customer relations and coordination between guides and guests

• General office and PC-based administrative work

Qualifications

• Mother tongue Arabic required; good command of English; knowledge of Kurdish and Turkish is a strong advantage

• Familiarity with Turkish and Arabic culture in addition to language skills

• Ability to use PC and online booking platforms -- practical knowledge can be demonstrated through an online meeting/examination

• Prior work experience in customer relations, tourism, hospitality, or international trade is considered an advantage

• Flexible, service-minded, and able to work evenings/nights in winter conditions

• No driver's license required -- work is based in Tromsø city with tours departing from central locations

About the Position

This is a seasonal full-time role suited for someone with strong Arabic language and cultural knowledge, combined with guest-handling and practical PC/booking skills. The work period is winter 2025/2026.
