About the Role: Software Control Engineer & Release CoordinatorAs part of our dynamic R&D team, you'll play a central role in the development, maintenance, and structured release of control firmware for our power conversion systems---including AC inverters and DC-DC converters. This position combines deep technical work in embedded systems and power electronics with ownership of our software release processes.
Your mission? To ensure our firmware is innovative, reliable, and always aligned with business goals---while collaborating closely with teams across the company.
What you’ll be doing:-
Lead the design and development of control firmware for Pixii’s power electronics systems

Develop advanced real-time control strategies for grid-forming and grid-following applications

Maintain and debug existing firmware, ensuring high reliability and performance

Collaborate with production and field teams to resolve firmware-related challenges

Support certification processes and contribute to design specifications and documentation

Drive the full software release lifecycle, using GitLab to plan, track, and execute releases

Coordinate release plans with stakeholders across Product Management, Sales, Application, and Customer teams

Document version histories, change logs, and release timelines clearly and consistently

Qualifications:-
M.Sc or Ph.D in electrical engineering, control engineering, computer science, or similar

3+ years of experience working with embedded software in power electronics

Strong real-time C programming skills and familiarity with GitLab workflows

Knowledge of MISRA standards, grid codes (VDE, UL), and certification processes

Experience with MATLAB/Simulink and static code analysis tools

Structured, self-driven, and quality-focused

Proactive team player who drives processes forward

Curious and adaptable in a fast-paced, innovative environment

Strong communicator in English---both verbal and written
