About the position
NHH in Bergen, Norway, invites applications for a position as Assistant Professor in Auditing at the Department of Accounting, Auditing and Law. The duration of the contract for the position is four years. We seek ambitious candidates early in their academic careers who have relevant research experience and teaching capabilities within the field of Auditing. The candidates should have a PhD in Auditing and possess a portfolio of projects with clear potential to be published in highly ranked journals and demonstrate strong, high-quality teaching experience.
To strengthen the research group in Auditing we seek candidates with confirmed competence in quantitative methods within the audit domain (e.g. behavioral experiments). The research group is affiliated with the research project of digital transformation in a large Norwegian company. Candidates with research experience in the relevant methods and topics will be prioritised.
Faculty members at NHH are expected to be good teachers. The candidates must have some formal pedagogical education and practical experience with teaching with demonstrated high quality. Candidates must be fluently in English and in a Scandinavian language (since some of the teaching is in Norwegian). The appointee must take one basic module of the programme for university pedagogy in the course of the fixed-term period offered by NHH. The appointee is expected to be involved in teaching/course responsible on an average of one course per year and conduct student supervision in degree programs at bachelor, master and PhD levels.

The salary will be negotiable within the Norwegian State Salary Scale for assistant professors.
