Thor Medical ASA is looking for a seasoned industry leader to take on the role as Plant manager at Thor Medical’s planned AlphaOne plant at Herøya, Porsgrunn. AlphaOne is the company’s first commercial scale manufacturing plant. As Plant manager, you will be responsible for the overall operations of the site, that include overseeing production, ensuring product quality, planning and implementing operational strategies at the plant among other things.

We are looking for an experienced industry leader with a drive for operational excellence and continuous improvement, always putting safety for people, environment, and equipment first.

The position reports directly to the company’s Chief Financial and Operating Officer (CFOO). Thor Medical is a company on a strong growth trajectory. The right candidate will be met with opportunities to grow with the company into other leading positions in the future.

Key Responsibilities:

· Overall responsibility of the operational performance of the plant

· Build an organization at the plant that include local leadership and a competent team of operators and technicians

· Be a driver for operational excellence leveraging best practice on process and manufacturing control

· Implement manufacturing strategies that align with the overall objectives of the company

· Support the company’s strategy within IT operations and ERP

Qualifications

· Master’s degree in engineering, chemistry, economics, or a related field

· Minimum 10 years of experience within industrial/manufacturing operations, with relevant leadership experience in the field

· Experience from relevant industries such as pharmaceutical, process industry, nuclear industry is preferred

· Strong knowledge and experience with leveraging operational excellence/lean principles in production

· Good communication and presentation skills, both written and oral

· Bring a positive, enthusiastic, and result oriented mindset to work

· Ability to motivate others and adapt to demands of specific deliverables and targets
