Senior backend engineer? Build payment infrastructure handling 150M+ API calls every month. At Dintero, you are not working on the edges of a product. You build core systems where failure has real consequences.

We develop and operate the entire platform ourselves and control the full payment flow. This gives us deep technical ownership, real responsibility, and engineers who influence architecture, not just implementation.

• Regulatory complexity – payment schemes, compliance, auditability, and financial correctness

We are also at the forefront of innovation in the payment space:

• First to implement Passkeys with Mastercard

This is a role for engineers who want to work on serious backend systems that must work, every time.

Production at Scale

• 150M+ API calls per month

• 10 senior engineers – small team, high ownership

• Infrastructure designed for high availability and robust transaction flows

What You Will Work On

• Design and own backend services end-to-end

• Build APIs used directly by merchants and partners

• Make architectural decisions with long-term impact

• Work with scalability, observability, and operational quality

• Ship to production frequently and take ownership of what you build

In short: less coordination, more engineering.

Tech Stack

Deliberate choices. Minimal hype.

• AWS (Fargate, Lambda, DynamoDB, Aurora)

• Microservices

• Node.js and TypeScript

• Infrastructure as Code

• API-first

We value sound engineering decisions over chasing trends.

Your Profile

You have experience working with complex systems in production.

• 5+ years of backend development experience

• Experience with distributed systems and architectural trade-offs

• Comfortable owning systems end-to-end

• Experience where reliability, correctness, or compliance matter

• AWS experience is a plus

Scandinavian language (Norwegian, Swedish, or Danish) is a plus, but not required.

This Role Is a Strong Fit If You Have Worked With

• Payment systems or financial infrastructure

• High-throughput APIs or event-driven systems

• Systems with strict uptime, latency, or consistency requirements

• Regulated domains (fintech, banking, etc.)
