Crew Payroll & Tax Manager | OSM Thome

Lead and develop a strong team of cross-geographical professionals 

As a Crew Payroll & Tax Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all payroll processes for the seafarers employed directly by OSM Thome or by its customers in Norwegian companies. In addition, you will be responsible of ensuring proper tax reporting to authorities.

Key Responsibilities

Role description:

• Lead a team of professionals based in Arendal, Bergen and Limassol (Cyprus)
• Equip the team with tools and competency to further develop the department
• Manage in a way that inspires and motivates the team to deliver "on point" services
• Secure strong relations and close cooperation with the OSM Thome Operation

Overall team task description:

• Payroll Administration - Manage end-to-end crew payroll processes
• Compliance - Keep updated with relevant legislation, labour laws, tax regulations and industry standards to ensure compliance in crew payroll operations
• Communication - Maintain close co-operation with other departments to ensure proper information flow, efficient usage of systems
  
• System management - Utilize and manage crew payroll software systems to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Reporting - Ensure timely and accurate reporting to government bodies, unions etc
• Problem resolution - Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies or issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Relevant education in finance, accounting, business administration or another related field
• Experience in payroll management, accouting or audit & assurance 
• In-depth knowledge of Norwegian labour laws, taxation, and payroll regulations
• Proficiency in payroll software and MS office applications
