Vard Design & Engineering is a part of VARD and leading in development of advanced and specialized vessel designs. Our HVAC Department consist of ten engineers with various skills and experience, but common to all is the desire to develop and improve our technology and systems for a greener future. Duties and responsibilities
Are you enthusiastic about engineering and curios about shipbuilding? Join us and you will play an important role in development of new and greener HVAC design in VARD. HVAC systems are vital for the comfort onboard ships to provide the correct climate control, but modern, energy-efficient technologies have a direct impact on reducing the fuel consumption and make greener vessels. We are responsible for the full design and engineering of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC-R) systems with an end-to-end approach, and are now looking for engineers for the following tasks:
- Project coordination / execution
- System design and engineering
- Development of technical specifications and procedures
- Development of renewable green energy
For the senior engineer tasks will include:
- Establish and maintain plans and budgets for the projects
- Participate in concept development, and special projects
- Participate in developing the department and processes
Qualifications
- BSc/MSc in engineering (Mechanical/Ship design/Renewable energy)
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
- Good knowledge of English language, both oral and written
