HSE Advisor Project Narvik (Night Shift)

We're seeking a Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Advisor to champion a safe work culture on an exciting major data centre construction project in the Narvik region. About the Role:
As our HSE Advisor, you will be at the forefront of safety on site both hands on in the field and leading strategy. You will start each day with safety walk throughs, identifying and mitigating hazards to keep the site incident free. You'll coach workers and subcontractors on best practices, conduct daily safety briefings and toolbox talks, and ensure every new team member or visitor receives a thorough safety induction. You will verify that all equipment, from scaffolding to high voltage systems, meets strict HSE standards and is used safely.

Should an incident or near miss occur, you'll lead investigations, implement improvements, and share learnings to prevent future issues. Critical tasks include overseeing risk assessments and permit to work systems, monitoring compliance with ISO 45001 standards, and preparing the site for audits and safety inspections. Throughout it all, you will work closely with project leaders to foster a strong safety culture empowering everyone on site to prioritize health and the environment, 24/7.

About You Qualifications & Experience:
We are looking for an energetic, knowledgeable HSE professional who can inspire others and ensure excellence in safety performance. The ideal candidate has:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in HSE, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field (preferred)
• Certifications: NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) and ISO 45001 training/certification, plus strong Risk Management skills. (These globally recognized credentials demonstrate your expertise in world-class safety practices.)
• Experience: 3-5 years of relevant HSE/OHS experience, preferably on construction or industrial projects.
• Industry Exposure: Experience in data centre or large-scale technical projects is a strong advantage (you understand the unique safety challenges of complex electrical and construction environments).
• Personal Qualities: You are proactive, detail oriented, and communicate confidently in both Norwegian and English. You have a knack for engaging people, solving problems on-the-fly, and driving a positive safety culture even in challenging situations.

Practical Details:
The work location is in the Narvik area, supporting a major project that will run 24/7. Both day and Night. Please note: this is a night shift position.
Salary will be negotiated based on qualifications and experience. Travel or relocation support can be discussed if needed
