Location: Stavanger and Stord (with offshore rotation in later project phases)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Telecom Engineer to join our team for an exciting project based in Stavanger and Stord. In this role, you will be responsible for the execution, supervision, and coordination of commissioning activities related to telecom systems, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant delivery according to projects needs and design specifications.

This is a fully mobile position, needing flexibility to work both onshore and offshore as the project progresses.

Key responsibilities

• Execute commissioning activities as assigned by the Commissioning System Telecom Lead.
• Verify telecom installations in the field against design and drawings in collaboration with the Telecom Lead.
• Review and interpret technical drawings, functional specifications, and procedures.
• Participate in system check-outs and verifications (walk down/yellow line) as part of the RFCC handover process.
• Plan and facilitate static and dynamic commissioning activities for telecom systems.
• Attend and contribute to commissioning planning meetings and coordination sessions.
• Ensure clear and effective communication between operations, maintenance, contractors, and suppliers.
• Provide daily reporting to the Commissioning Telecom Lead on progress and technical challenges.
• Support in document collection for RFOC (ready for operation certificate) handover packages.
• Support the development of completion strategies and commissioning plans with telecom-related input.
• Manage assigned ATS and external resources, ensuring alignment and quality of deliverables.
• Contribute to the development and review of commissioning procedures for telecom systems.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Relevant experience with commissioning of telecom systems in large-scale industrial and/or offshore projects.
• Familiar with project completion systems (e.g., PIMS) and document management tools.
• Documented Ex competence with valid classroom courses.
• Valid FSE certification.
• Excellent communication skills (fluency) in English and Norwegian, both written and spoken.
