Main responsebilities and tasks

• Package lead for projects

• Electrical design, drawing, calculations, procedure/specification writing

• Follow and assist in development of Engineering procedures, processes and efficiency initiatives

• After design is complete, support procurement, 3rd party manufacturers, workshop and offshore operations for equipment that has been designed to ensure that it is implemented as intended and operationally functional

• Ensure that the electrical system on all EDR equipment is operational and in accordance with relevant national and international requirements.

• Assist Sales in tender phases

• Understand what the current standards are for product lines and ensure that new projects follow the standards.

• Act as primary technical interface with clients, as required

• Make necessary engineering calculations to support product selection/recommendation.

• Ease of maintenance to be considered in electrical design

• Develop technical documentation, e.g. specifications, bill of material, etc.

• Function as onshore support for offshore operations, including duty phone

• Develop schematics, diagrams, assembly drawings, etc. for use in the manufacturing process

• Develop deliverables for use by Rig Contractors and Operators, e.g. general arrangement drawings, datasheets, etc.

• Be capable of leading outsourced engineering work to 3rd parties

• Provide engineering support during fabrication

• Develop procedures for assembly and testing onshore and offshore

• Sporadic offshore travels, domestic and international.

• Plan and participate on FAT, SIT

• Perform documentation review and approval

• Assist in personnel training

• Interacting with other disciplines and department to ensure continuity of the projects

• Clear Synergi actions for the equipment on your projects and others as assigned

• Subject matter expert for Ex, Power electric

Education

• Minimum of Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering

• Preferably Master degree (MSc) in Electrical Engineering

• Min 5 years Electrical Engineering experience.

• Preferable with High Voltage certificate/education

Experience/Skills

• Knowledge of Ex regulative, ATEX/IECEx

• Preferably with knowledge in Variable speed drives and transformers design/operation

• Good English skills, both oral and written

• Drilling rig experience and overall understanding of the drilling process can be beneficial
