Station Manager Cargo -- Oslo Airport

Do you want to lead Menzies Aviation’s first cargo operation in Norway?

Menzies Aviation is taking over an established cargo operation at Oslo Airport , marking our entry into the Norwegian cargo market . We are now looking for an experienced and results-oriented Station Manager Cargo to take overall responsibility for this important addition to our Nordic portfolio.

With Oslo as our first cargo location in Norway, we are making long-term investments in quality, capability, and sustainable development for our customers and partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, plan, and organize all cargo-related operations at Oslo Gardermoen Airport, including warehouse, office, and airside functions -- ensuring efficiency, safety, and full compliance with national regulations and international aviation standards.

• Ensure all procedures follow Menzies’ Health & Safety Policy Manual and global aviation safety requirements.

• Take full ownership of the cargo division’s budget and P&L, including financial performance, cost control, and resource allocation.

• Provide strong leadership to the Cargo Management Team, coaching and developing staff to foster a high-performance culture built on safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

• Ensure service delivery meets customer SLAs and internal KPIs while driving process improvements and operational development.

• Identify and develop new business opportunities to strengthen revenue and operational capacity.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with airline clients, authorities, vendors, unions, and internal stakeholders.

• Represent the company in dealings with airport authorities, customs, immigration, police, security services, and ground handling agents.

• Contribute to sound employee relations and maintain dialogue with union and employee representatives when needed.

• Monitor operational performance, track KPIs, report results, and implement corrective measures when necessary.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in air cargo or logistics operations, including at least 3 years in a senior operational leadership role.

• Proven experience managing large teams and collaborating across functions.

• Strong track record in financial management, P&L responsibility, service delivery, and operational efficiency.

• Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks including customs, aviation security, occupational health, and Norwegian labor law.

• Experience in aviation services (e.g., cargo, ramp, passenger handling, aircraft presentation) is a plus, but not required.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

• Fluent in a Scandinavian language and English, both written and spoken.
