Mechanical Engineer

We are looking for a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to be part of a team that works with the ongoing projects and tenders in the company. The tasks will vary depending on your experience and competence, as well as the needs of the project. Versatility, curiosity and flexibility are qualities we value highly at KANFA, but the core focus area is static equipment which is required in our projects.

The advertised position reports to the head of the engineering department, who contributes across ongoing activities in KANFA.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare technical documentation in accordance with current regulations, specifications and customer requirements.

• Conceptual mechanical design of static equipment during tendering.

• Review of supplier documentation for mechanical equipment, in accordance with project requirements and applicable codes and standards.

• Participate in projects and tenders, according to assigned project role.

  Typical project roles include:

  • Mechanical Engineer / Mechanical Lead

  • Package Responsible Engineer (Mechanical Equipment)

• Interaction and coordination with other disciplines within the project.

• Assist with evaluating and estimating the impact of changes during a project or tender, that may affect mechanical equipment.

• Participate in inspections and tests of mechanical equipment and packages at supplier premises.

What do we want from you?

• Bachelor’s degree or higher within Mechanical Engineering.

• Mechanical background with 3-5 years of experience from projects within the energy industry (onshore and/or offshore).

• Experience with commonly used codes and standards for static equipment such as ASME, PED, EN, etc.

• Multidisciplinary understanding.
