Teacher of Science and Mathematics- MYP

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

In the spirit of the philosophy and objectives of Skagerak International School, it is the duty of the teacher to assist the student in achieving their potential by ensuring the effective delivery of the school's International Baccalaureate Programme. The appointee will assist the School in achieving its mission and realize its goal of providing high quality international education.

The appointee is a member of the School's educational team and works closely with the Middle and High School Leadership teams. This position is a combination of MYP science and mathematics.

Teachers are expected to model the attributes of the IB Learner Profile; to act in a professional manner; to act in the best interests of the school; and, to be committed towards ensuring the well-being of students.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

▪ Relevant University Degree or equivalent specialist tertiary training in science and mathematics consisting of at least 60 ECTS.

▪ Recognized teacher training/certification consisting of at least 60 ECTS. ▪ Demonstrable fluency in both written and spoken English.

▪ Personal attributes as indicated by the IB learner profile.

PREFERRED CANDIDATES WILL ALSO HAVE:

▪ Experience teaching at international schools and/or training and experience related to teaching within the International Baccalaureate community.

▪ Interest and motivation to work in a high-performing, internationally-minded organization.
