Understanding the diverse range of responsibilities that make up the head waiter’s job description.

· Oversee and coordinate the activities of colleagues during shifts.

· Ensure excellent service by addressing guests’ needs and wishes.

· Train and mentor new colleagues on service standards and checklists.

· Supervise and coordinate dining room activities for a seamless service experience.

· Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food delivery.

· Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in the dining area.

· Handle guest feedback and resolve issues in a professional manner.

· Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently.

What does a typical day look like?

A typical day consists of preparation of the plan for the evening, seating all bookings efficiently to ensure smooth operations, overseeing the premises and plan cleaning, sorting delivery, etc. Answering emails, printing menus and clear communication with kitchen and bar about upcoming evening.
